What it does
wttr.in is a console-oriented weather service: request a URL like wttr.in/London and you get the current weather and a three-day forecast. Add ?format=j1 to get JSON, use the format option to build a one-line custom output, or add .png to get the forecast as an image. It understands city names, airport codes, coordinates and even landmarks, and supports many languages. Handy for scripts, terminals and status bars. Free and open source, no key needed.
