What it does
OpenAQ collects air quality measurements from government monitors and research-grade sensors in more than 100 countries and makes them available as open data. The API gives you locations, sensors and measurements of pollutants such as PM2.5, PM10, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide, both latest values and history. Responses are JSON. Free, with a free API key from your OpenAQ account.
