What it does
The RainViewer Weather Maps API gives weather radar images of the past two hours in 10-minute steps, as map tiles you can lay over a Leaflet, OpenLayers or Google map to show where it is raining. A JSON index file lists the available frames and the tile host. Tiles are PNG images in 256 or 512 pixels, up to zoom level 7, with a choice of colour schemes. Free for personal and educational use, no key needed; credit RainViewer with a link.
