What it does

The Kitsu API gives data about anime and manga: titles, synopses, episodes, genres, ratings, posters and characters, for example to build an anime watch list or show series details. It is a JSON:API REST interface with filters, sorting and paging, such as /api/edge/anime?filter[text]=cowboy bebop. Free, no key needed for public data; user libraries need OAuth.
