What it does
The World Bank Indicators API gives about 16,000 development indicators for every country, many going back 50 years or more: GDP, population, life expectancy, CO2 emissions, education, poverty and much more. Ask for an indicator by country and year range. Responses are JSON or XML. Free, open data, no key needed. An official World Bank MCP server (data360-mcp) lets AI agents search and fetch World Bank indicator data through Data360.
