What it does

The BLS Public Data API from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics gives time series on prices, employment, wages and productivity, such as the Consumer Price Index or the unemployment rate, for example to adjust amounts for inflation. Ask for one or more series IDs and a range of years and get JSON. Free; version 1 needs no registration, version 2 needs a free registration key and allows more series, years and calculations.
