What it does

PurgoMalum is a profanity filter web service that removes or masks swear words in text, for example in comments or usernames before they are shown on a site. Call /service/json, /service/xml or /service/plain with a text parameter, or /service/containsprofanity for a true/false answer. Options let you add your own words to the list and choose the replacement text or character. Free, no key needed.
