Open Library API

Open Library, a project of the Internet Archive, aims to have a web page for every book ever published. Its APIs let you search books, authors and subjects, look up editions by ISBN, get work and edition details and fetch cover images in several sizes. Responses are JSON. Free, no key needed; identify your app with a User-Agent and keep traffic reasonable, and use the bulk data dumps for large jobs.
