Free Currency Exchange Rates API (fawazahmed0)

This open source project publishes daily exchange rates for more than 200 currencies, including cryptocurrencies and precious metals, as static JSON files on the jsDelivr CDN and Cloudflare. Because the files are static there are no rate limits and no keys: pick a base currency and a date (or 'latest') in the URL. Historical rates are available by date. Free.
