What it does
A Gravatar is a globally recognised avatar linked to an e-mail address, used on WordPress, GitHub and many other sites. Show it next to names on your own site with a simple image URL built from a hash of the e-mail address, with options for size and a default image when someone has no Gravatar. Profile data (name, links, bio) is available as JSON. Free; avatars need no key, the profile API uses a free API key. An official MCP server (npm package @automattic/mcp-server-gravatar) lets AI agents look up Gravatar profiles.
