What it does

The Photoroom API removes backgrounds and edits product photos, for example to put web shop items on a white background. A GET request with an image URL, or a POST upload, returns the edited image; the key goes in the x-api-key header. Free with a free API key in sandbox mode (prefix the key with sandbox_), up to 1,000 calls per month and 100 per day, with a watermark on the result; paid plans for clean images. An official MCP server at https://mcp.photoroom.com/mcp lets AI agents edit images.
