What it does
The Bitly API lets you shorten long links, create branded short links on your own domain and generate QR codes, from your own software. You can also update link titles and tags, and get click statistics per link, by country, referrer and day. Responses are JSON. Free plan with a monthly limit on links; paid plans for more links, custom domains and full statistics.
