The SiftingIO API gives market data for US stocks and ETFs, forex, commodities and crypto: real-time prices, historical OHLCV bars and SEC filings, for example to chart a stock or show live exchange rates. REST GET endpoints such as /v1/hist/stocks/AAPL/bars return JSON, with the key in an X-API-Key header, and a WebSocket stream at wss://stream.sifting.io/ws/v1 pushes live ticks. Free plan without a payment card: 10,000 REST calls a month and 60 requests a minute per market, one WebSocket connection and five symbol subscriptions; the data is for internal use and may not be shown publicly on this plan. An official MCP server (npm package siftingio-mcp) lets AI agents fetch prices and history.
