# Free Public Transport and Flight APIs

Page: https://free-web-services.com/web-services/open-data/transport/

Transport APIs give public transport status, departures and journey planning, and live positions of aircraft. Use them to show the next trains at a station, plan a trip or put planes on a map.

## Services

| Service | API key | Formats | Free use |
|---|---|---|---|
| [Entur Journey Planner API](https://free-web-services.com/web-services/open-data/transport/entur-journey-planner-api.md) | Not needed | JSON | Free, no key needed; the data is under the Norwegian Licence for Open Government Data (NLOD). |
| [OpenSky Network API](https://free-web-services.com/web-services/open-data/transport/opensky-network-api.md) | Not needed | JSON | Free; anonymous users get 400 credits a day and the latest positions only, and a free account gives 4,000 credits a day and the last hour. |
| [TfL Unified API](https://free-web-services.com/web-services/open-data/transport/tfl-unified-api.md) | Not needed | JSON | Free; it works without a key, and a free key raises the limit. |
