World News API searches news articles from sources in many countries and languages, with filters for text, entities, location, date, sentiment and source. Use it for news widgets, monitoring a company or topic, or research. Call the REST endpoints with your API key and get JSON. Free with a free API key: 50 points a day, one request per second and one month of history, with a link back to worldnewsapi.com required; paid plans remove the link and raise the limits. An official MCP server (world-news-api-mcp) lets AI agents search news through the World News API.
